The T Houses are a unique community in a beautiful setting with guests from all over the world. Enjoy the privacy of your own space or mix with interesting people and make new Balinese and international friends. On the rice fields you are close to nature and you will have daily visits from ducks, frogs, lizards and butterflies. The rice terraces are a major focus of village life with the changing seasons of planting and harvest providing a fascinating insight into local culture just a few steps from your front door.
Each house is separately owned, bringing individuality and personality rather than the uniformity of a hotel. You will be staying in people’s homes. However, all houses offer the same key services and friendly community appeal. Your low-key greeting reflects the fact that this is a place where you are free to be yourself without unwanted intrusion. |

What about getting into Ubud?
Our staff can either recommend cars with drivers at reasonable rates (approx. US$4/each way) or can arrange hire cars from approx. $20/day. The drive to Ubud is approximately 10 minutes. You can also walk to Ubud through the ricefields and the Monkey Forest, a 45 minute adventure. |
What about restaurants?
It is a quick hop into central Ubud, but you also have other options: to cook yourself in the equipped kitchens; to order in from many of Ubud's great restaurants (who provide a good service with the most minor additional charge); to ask our staff to prepare food for you. |
Is there internet?
Yes, all the houses have wireless access to the Internet. |
Is T House child-friendly?
Yes. This is a place that is ideal for children - easy access to the pool, plenty of wildlife, babysitting available and a caring community around them. If you have particular concerns (e.g. not being too near to water, or no stairs) please express them at the time of booking. |
Can you do personal laundry?
The cost of cleaning linen and towels is included in the rental price. Our staff can arrange for clothes and other items to be sent to a local laundrette - the laundry costs are very reasonable. |
What if I need help or something goes wrong?
Our staff are great at solving practical problems (so no need to live with cold water or blocked drains). As they live locally (they are the T House's neighbours) there is always someone around. At night the watchmen are there to provide security and assistance. |

Does T House pay commission to anyone?
No, although it is a common practice in many hotels/villas. So if your driver or guide is expecting this they will be disappointed. |
